History

In 1968, Erik Hansen started a small drain company in his hometown of Abbotsford, BC. He had a passion for plumbing and a desire to provide high-quality drain solutions for his community. Over the years, Hansen worked hard to grow his business and establish a reputation for excellence.

One of the key turning points for the company came in the late 1970s, when Hansen and his team developed a new type of drain system called the slot drain. This innovative design featured a narrow slot running the length of the drain, which allowed for better water flow and reduced the risk of clogs. The slot drain quickly became popular with contractors and homeowners alike, and helped to solidify Hansen's position as a leader in the drain industry.

As the company continued to grow, Hansen recognized the need to expand its reach beyond the Pacific Northwest. In 2021, he made the decision to join the Bedford Industries Group, a larger organization with a strong presence in the construction industry. This partnership allowed Hansen's drain company to leverage Bedford's resources and expertise, while still maintaining its commitment to quality and innovation.

Under the Bedford umbrella, the drain company continued to flourish, expanding its product line and opening new distribution channels across the country. Today, it is recognized as one of the leading drain companies in the North America, with a reputation for superior products and outstanding customer service. And while Erik Hansen may no longer be at the helm, his legacy of excellence continues to drive the company forward.
